ONCE YOU’RE IN SONORA:

There are two major routes to Old Oak Ranch, once you’re in the Sonora area. One is on Phoenix Lake Road via East Sonora, the other is on Sawmill Flat Road via Columbia. The Phoenix Lake route is faster for anyone coming from Highway 108 into Sonora. However, there is a very sharp turn on Big Hill Road that buses generally can’t make. Therefore buses usually take the Columbia route.
